It has been four years since 24 year old Charissa self-published her first book under her own company, Penwings Publishing. Many stories are one-hit-wonders that do not garner a follow-up story. However, still publishing new titles and innovating, Charissa wants to show how persistence, discipline, and grit can translate into consistent book sales in this time of social media readers. They are a  testament to all that local work can be competitive internationally. She has inspired writers of Malaysia that it is possible to chase after your dreams; and art is essential in making us human.
